This past Saturday, Coach Seth attended a coaching clinic at Pembroke Hill High School. Dave Zazzaro, head men's lacrosse coach at Rhodes College in Memphis, was the featured speaker. Coach Zazzaro has over 23 years of head coaching experience at Colby College, Colorado College and he founded the lacrosse program at Rhodes College in 2012. He was also named the 2016 Southern Athletic Association coach of the year.
During the presentation, he went over different offensive and defensive schemes, and what works for him at Rhodes. Coach Seth had this to say, "Listening to coach Zazzaro talk about lacrosse you could tell how passionate he was about the game, and how much he cares for his program. It's wonderful to get coaching tips and advice from someone that has been doing it at a high level for 20+ years."
This was a good experience for Coach Seth to hear from a successful collegiate coach and have the opportunity to bring some of Coach Zazzaro's methods and ideas to our Jags program this spring.
Thanks to Coach Matt Kimsey and his staff at the University of St. Mary for having the Jags come workout with the Spires last night under the lights! The Spires shared some fantastic drills with us and then the teams scrimmaged. It was a great way to spend a nice November evening and everyone had a great time. We look forward to doing this again next year!
Thanks to the Ottawa University Braves for inviting the Jags to come down for drills and a scrimmage today. The perfect weather made the day even better! Coach A.J. Stevens, his staff and players were all gracious hosts. The Jags appreciate the opportunity to work with the Braves and we look forward to doing it again next year!
It was beautiful weather on Saturday as the Jags had two teams competing in the SpireNation Fall Classic 7v7 tournament at the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, KS. Thanks to all the family and friends that came out to support the Jags!
The 2016 Iggy's Lax Bash was a huge success! Picture perfect weather and a full day of great lacrosse. The Jags were able to come away with the Varsity division championship, while Lawrence won the JV division. We want to thank Blue Valley, Lawrence, Shawnee Mission Lacrosse Club and Ankeny, IA lacrosse for participating. We look forward to seeing everyone next year!

The Jags competed at the Fountain City Lax Bash over the weekend of July 23-24. It was a good opportunity for some of the returning players to take the field with a number of new, incoming players to the club.
Thanks to the parents, families and fans for coming out in the extreme heat and humidity! We appreciate the support!
